When building your home, finding quality subcontractors can be a challenge.   Here are several methods to finding  the right guy’s to work on your house.

Visit the local lumber yard: The sales reps have built relationships with framing crews, builders and contractors.  They will be eager to help you because they want to earn your business.

Visit jobsites: Talk to some of the subcontractors on the job.    They might be willing to give you a estimate or recommend someone.   You can also get a idea of the quality  of work they do.

Ask subcontractors you are already using: Our framer is the one who recommended the guys  that poured the concrete and the guy that laid the block.   He had worked with them on previous jobs and was impressed by the quality of work they did.

Talk to friends: Most of the people that helped build our home, was recommended by someone we knew.

Try online review sites. Websites such as Angieslist offers you reviews by real people,  who have used that particular company or individual.
